Lynda Flinn

In 1989, after several years of globe trotting, Lynda Flinn settled in the seaside community of Chester, Nova Scotia with her new husband, Stephen.

The born-and-bred Kiwi brought along her chef's papers from the Auckland Technical Institute. As well as the dream of her own café. She imagined a welcoming, cheery home to good food and beverages. "I knew it had to be bright and fun. That's who I am."

Sherri Snair has always loved to cook. In '08, Lynda was delighted she chose the Kiwi to complete her work term for her Applied Degree in Culinary Operations through the Culinary Institute of Canada, Prince Edward Island.

Even better news for '09! Sherri is returning to the Kiwi after graduating from her culinary course!

Natalie Shaw

Natalie: Kiwi server 4 days/week

Natalie started working at the Kiwi March '08. Raised in Chester, she choses to remain in her home town. Over the years, she's waitressed "all over Chester."

She enjoys her work - the people and gets a kick out of preparing specialty coffees. This Chester gal also appreciates Kiwi's smoked salmon on a bagel.

During her offtimes, on a good day you may see her gardening or enjoying the company of her family.

Cathrena Nauss

Kiwi part-timer Cathrena

Cathrena grew up in Chester - and works at the Kiwi a couple of days a week on average.

When she's not busy at her other job as a flight attendant. "Customer service is pretty much customer service," she says. "I enjoy the staff here - they make it worthwhile." And she enjoys Mary's squash apple and brie soup."It's my favourite!"
