Mackays marmalades & preserves

Since 1938, this family business has turned out high quality preserves, marmalades and curds. The last marmalade producer from the Dundee area, 'The Home of Marmalade,' they deliver more varieties of orange marmalade than any other manufacturer. Their preserves are made using only Scottish soft fruit. MacKays is the largest producer in Europe, and in 2004, Mackays' outstanding achievement in international trade earned them a Queen's Award for Enterprise. 

Spices of the world

Uncommon, not readily available spices are right at home in Kiwi Too: star anise, dried slices galangal, dried kaffir lime leaves, madras curry, sushi ingredients, and more.

Stop in for gift baskets, take-away picnics, and delicious comfort foot that's all ready for you to bring home. Order coffee, tea, or a beverage to go, and add a sandwich for the perfect quick lunch. From the Victoria Day long weekend in May to the Labour Day long weekend in September, come in for Dee Dee's fabulous gourmet ice cream by the scoop - and the tub!

Convenient Freezer Meals and Frozen Soups

Small batches of soups and meals are prepared in the kiwi kitchen using the same fine ingredients served in the café - fresh fruit and vegetables and quality meats - without preservatives or additives. The Kiwi soup menu is impressive, Lamb Shanks, Chicken Pot Pies, Shepherds Pie, Lasagnes...keep your home freezer stocked for those days when you just don't want to cook but want the homemade and preservative-free taste.

We fill our soup pots everyday, two or three batches -- at the end of the day, if we have enough left, we'll freeze it. That's another popular take-home choice with Kiwi regulars: a 500 or 1,000 ml container of their favourite soups.

Group bookings

Kiwi Too can seat 25 in their private gathering section - perfect for special functions, classes, workshops or breakfast meetings. Available after hours and for catered meals. And if we're busy - or if you've got a large group or family - don't forget to wander over into our bright and sunshine-filled overflow space.

Kiwi catering: for special occasions and everyday

Chester summer residents call on the Kiwi to turn out cocktail parties and family gatherings, and to order freezer and pantryfuls to stock relaxing vacations. Lynda is also happy to present the ultimate dinner prepared on site, served by wait and bartender staff. After the guests leave, and before the caterers go home, they make sure all traces of the meal are whisked away.

Kiwi sweet trays for four people and up enjoy guest-of-honour status at many special occasions.
